The importance of the family in the constitutional system

Abstract

PROBLEM: Nowadays, there is a growing awareness of the crisis of values affecting contemporary societies. This article analyzes the question about the role played by the crisis of family formation and supposes the insufficiency of the institutions that socialize individuals. OBJECTIVE: To expose one of the factors of axiological constitutional weakening: the family, and the neglect of these in contemporary societies that affects the poor socialization of constitutional values, which presuppose the profound validity of general values in the social world. METHOD: A bibliographic review was carried out on the crisis of constitutional values, as well as on the poor socialization of the family in contemporary times. Likewise, the abductive method was applied, that is, the one that poses the most plausible answers to the questions posed. RESULTS: It is possible to prove that the constitutional crisis cannot be disassociated from the formation in values provided by the family; incidentally, the considerations and arguments of the work also explain why greater attention should be paid to the satisfaction of social rights, which have been increasingly ignored due to the economic dynamics of the contemporary world. CONCLUSION: The insufficient formation in values provided by the family has an impact on the normative shortcomings of the rule of law.
